Take DIFFRACT for a test drive!

Two different DIFFRACT Demos may be downloaded from this site: The Display Edition and the Limited Edition. While the Display Edition is self-contained and does not require any input from the user, the Limited Edition is very much like the real thing, requiring active user participation. As the name implies, the difference between Limited and General editions of DIFFRACT is the restricted menu of options available from the Limited Edition.

The Display Edition of DIFFRACT may be downloaded from this site directly (see below), or it may be sent to you by e-mail, or you may request a free copy on a diskette through mail (send e-mail to MM Research, Inc.). The Display Edition runs on a Personal Computer under Windows 95, 98, 2000, XP, and NT.

To download the Display Edition:

• Download the DisplayDiff.ZIP file from MM Research (525kB)

• Unzip the files and place them in a directory (such as c:\diffract). You should have the following files in that directory:

1. diffract.exe

2. settings.log

3. command.001

4. command.002

5. command.003

6. command.004

7. command.005

8. command.006

9. command.007

10. readme.doc

• Read and follow the instructions in the readme.doc file.

The Limited Edition of DIFFRACT (including its Graphical User Interface or GUI) may also be downloaded from this site directly (see below). The Limited Edition runs on a Personal Computer under Windows 95, 98, 2000, XP, and NT.

To download the Limited Edition:

• Download the Readme.ZIP and LimitedDiffGUI.ZIP files from MM Research, Inc. (2.4 MB).
• Unzip the files and proceed by installing the LimitedDiffGui to a directory (such as C:\DiffDemo).
